Arizona Moves Spring Commencement Ceremony 2020 online TUCSON – The University of Arizona announced that its spring commencement ceremony for the class of 2020 will now be held online after COVID-19 forced the in-person ceremony, typically held at Arizona Stadium, to be canceled.
According to Arizona, the online ceremony will be held Friday, May 15 at 6 p.m. MST.
In addition to the online graduation ceremony, an in-person ceremony for university graduates has been scheduled to take place in the fall during Arizona’s homecoming week on Friday, Oct. 30.
On March 20, Arizona initially announced it would cancel its 2020 Convocation and Commencement ceremonies in Tucson, Phoenix, Yuma and Sierra Vista due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
